Augustus Ritchie is part of a Bahamian family.
Augustus Stanley Cardigan Ritchie was born in 1880 in Long Island, Bahamas to Virginius Robert Ritchie and Mary Priscilla Turnquest Ritchie.
He married Lillian Elfleda Wells, daughter of Washington Wells and Eliza Wilson Wells, 17 January 1906, at Deadman's Cay, Long Island. The couple had children - among them Ralph Augustus, Eliza, Veronica, Lillian, Alden, Elva, and Ullin Lunsford Ritchie.
Augustus Ritchie passed away 31 March 1958 in Deadman's Cay, Long Island, Bahamas.
