I consider myself a native of Lakewood, Colorado. I don’t like to admit that I was actually born in Denver. Except for that miss-step, I have lived some six decades in Lakewood. I am a member of the Lakewood Historical Society.

I am an amateur (and amateurish) genealogist. I am willing to share my knowledge (or ignorance) with the group. I have some information on my branch of the Rittenhouse, Leyendecker and Arter families. I enjoy having the names of two old families on the continent. I consider my “Old Country” to be Cairo (pronounced Kayro as in the syrup), Illinois, where my great-grandparents and grandparents lived.
