Rivard-1082 and Rivard-1752 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person. Daughter of Jean-Baptiste Rivard and Irene Buffet (Beuffait). Born 13 Dec 1787 in Detroit. Baptized 14 Dec 1787 in Ste Anne Church.

Married Jean Baptiste Campeau on 11 Feb 1806. Died sometime before 30 Jul 1855, as her husband was listed as widower of Therese Rivard, when he was buried on 1 Aug 1855.

After this merge is completed we will also need to merge with Rivard-1672. which has a lot of the notes and references that seem that were copied from a GED import, and there are no real sources, or references. The profile should be cleaned up and merged with Rivard-1752. Rivard-1672 has notes refering the baptism of the negresse of Michel Yax, which refers to a totally different person. That reference should be deleted, as Therese's parents are well listed on both her baptism and marriage registry as Jean-Baptiste Rivard, and Irene Beaufait (or Buffet).

There is no listing for a death on 6 Mar 1850 in Sandwich. However, Jean Baptiste Campeau was listed as a widower on the 1851 census, so she definitely died before 1851. And we know that she definitely passed away sometime before 30 Jul 1855, because Jean Baptiste Campeau was listed as widower of Therese Rivard on the parish registry at his funeral on 1 Aug 1855.

Therese Rivard was born on 13 Dec 1787 in Detroit, and baptized on 14 Dec 1787 in Ste-Anne Church, Detroit. Her parents are listed as Jean Baptiste Rivard and Irene Beufait. Her parents are again listed on the mariage registry when she married Jean-Baptiste Campeau on 11 Feb 1806.

Exactly where did the date of 6 Mar 1850 come from? Is there a reference or a source? There is no record of her death on 6 Mar 1850, however Jean Baptiste Campeau was listed as widower on the 1851 census, and we do know she died prior to 30 Jul 1855, because her husband Jean-Baptiste Campeau was listed as her widower on his funeral registry. The various sources and notes in this profile should be corrected and cleaned up. The reference to the baptism of the negresse of Michel Yax in 1790 obviously refers to a different person.

Regarding your rejection. Please note there are no sources on the other profile so I would not put too much weight on their birth ore death estimates. As long as the spouse and marriage date are identical this will keep coming up... as you have probably noticed. Teresa
