Marie Adea Rivette, daughter of Isidore Helie Rivet and Carmelite Bermeyo, was born on 2 April 1851 in Assumption Parish, Louisiana, USA.
She was baptized on 28 April 1851 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, Assumption Parish. Her godparents were Sostin Simoneaux and Elisa Esteve.
She was enumerated at Paincourtville with her parents and siblings during the 1860 census at age 8 years.
She obtained a marriage license with Alexis Landry, son of Belisere Landry and Arthemise Leblanc, on 5 April 1870 in New Iberia, Iberia Parish.
They were married on 28 April 1870 in Lydia, Iberia Parish.
They had the following known children:
Adea, Alexis, and their children were enumerated on a farm in Iberia Parish during the 1880 census.
The 1900 census described their farm as being located in Patoutville.
By 1910, they owned at home in Rayne, Acadia Parish.
Adea died at age 78 on 10 May 1929 in Iberia Parish.
She was buried at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery No. 1 (old cemetery) in Rayne. Her grave is located in Section 3.
