Alfred Joseph Rivette, son of Placide Rivette and Marie Lucille Frederick, was born about 1918 in Leonville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, USA.[1][2]
He was enumerated with his parents and siblings at their farm in St. Landry Parish during the 1920 census.[1]
Alfred died at the farm on 24 March 1928, at about 9 years of age.[2][3]
He had been sent out to get his brother Abel in the field, and was on horseback when he was struck by lightning. He was knocked to the ground and died instantly. The horse was not hurt, nor was his brother.[4]
He was buried at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Cemetery, Leonville, in the same tomb where his parents were later buried.[5]
