Biography

Marie Eugenie, daughter of Joseph Theodore Rivet and Marie Henriette Landry, was born 12 Sep 1817 in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. She was christened 3 Oct 1819 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish. Her sponsors were Louis Longepee and Eulalie Landry.^[1]

Marie and Alexandre Rule or Bule Rivette, son of Alexandre Vital Rivet and Marie Euphrosine Lanclos, were married on 19 March 1836 at St. Landry Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. ^[2] Alexandre died around 1837 at Opelousas. ^[3]
