Mrs. Robinson, nee Eunice Rix, was the wife of Revolutionary War veteran Edward Robinson, whose service as a drummer boy at the battles of Yorktown and Valley Forge inspired a special monument in this cemetery. The couple resided in Scipio, New York, where they raised their 12 children. Mrs. Robinson died at age 69 in 1834, her husband 2 years later. The memorial seen here was dedicated in 2005 at a ceremony attended by the local DAR chapter and several Robinson descendants. The couple's original gravestones, which had been preserved, were donated at this time to the Averill Historic Museum/ Ada Historical Society in Ada, Michigan, where they remain on display.
