Alfred was born in 1828. He is the son of Richard Rixey and Ellen Brown.[1] In 1850, Alfred was working as a clerk in Fairfax, Virginia.[2] By 1870, Albert had moved to Dallas County, Alabama.[3] Sometime prior to 1900, Alfred returned to Culpeper County, Virginia.[4]
