Biography

Syed Hassan was born in 1945 at Lucknow. He is the son of Syed Haider Rizvi and Ashraf Jehan Begum Sheesh Mahal. [1]

His father migrated from Zaidpur in India to Pakistan in 1947,settling permanently at 88,Quaid e Azam Road ,Sialkot(Punjab).

Syed Hassan Abbas Rizvi studied at Lawrence College,Ghora Gali. Murree fom 1956 to 1963.Joined Pakistan Army in November 1964 and was commisioned in 1967 after graduating from Royal Military Academy (UK) in 1967.

Besides holding various command and staff appointments ,he also served as an instructor at Pakistan Military Academy,Kakul; Infantry School,Quetta and Command and Staff College, Quetta. Saw action in 1971 Indo-Pakistan war where he was awarded the Imtiazi Sanad for valour in combat and the purple wound stripe.

Retired in 1994 reaching the rank of Brigadier .Settled in DHA, Lahore.
