Benjamin J Roach was born 16 Aug 1935 and his mother is listed as Martha Head. [1]Volume 81, Certificate 40434.

1940 – Kentucky, Daviess County, Owensboro, District 30-20, 22 Apr 1940
Sheet 14B shows Hilery Head (55), wife Cora (51) and children William (31), daughter Martha Head Roach (30), a widow, son Willard (27), also a widow, and grandsons Richard Roach (7) and Berylene J. (4). They are living in a home at 2404 Triplett, which they own and is valued at $2,500. Hilery reports he has a 6th grade education, Cora a 7th grade, William 2 years of high school Martha 8th grade, Willard 2 years of high school. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky and they were all living in the same house in 1935. Hilery is an advertising man for a soft drink bottling company and earned $560 the previous year. William is a truck driver for a distillery and Willard is a taxi driver for a taxi line. [2]

Benjamin J Roach, born 21 Jan 1925 in Owensboro, KY, at the age of 31, is married. He lists his parents as Homer D Roach and Martha E Roach. They were married on 11 OCt 1956. His wife, who was previously married, was born Betty Ann Ludeman and her parents were Mary A and William A Ludeman. [3]

BJ was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to Martha Ellen Head and Homer D Roach. He attended Catholicism, As a boy he enjoyed playing baseball; he and his friends were in the Owensboro Newspaper. After high school, he joined the Air Force and went to worked in communications. The Military took him to Korea and Iceland and several state in the USA. He was stationed in Montana where he met my Mother who had two daughter from a previous marriage; quickly, and Glenda and Lana became his daughters. He and my mom was transferred to Tacoma Washington where my brother and I were born. William (Mike) was born in 1957 and I Mary Ellen was born in 1958. In 1960 he and the family was transferred to Highland California where he served on Norton AFB in Highland. In 1962 he got out of the Military and went to work for Pacific Bell Telephone. I, as a child had the privilege to go to work with him on many occasions to watch him fix and repair the switchboards and phone lines. I especially enjoyed going with him to work Union festivals.

Unfortunately my father passed away in 1969. He is buried with my mother in Montecito Cemetery , Colton, California.
