She was my great grandmother, grandmother of Maelee Shinn Queen, and William Madison Shinn's mother. She was a round very short lady. I never remember seeing her in any color but black. She called her husband Mr. Shinn all her life. He died early in their marriage. I have a couple of pictures of her. and will put them on this site. Mom told me a couple of stories Grandmother Roach Shinn told her. I will write them out and share at a later date. She came to live with WMS when his wife died and help raise the children. I was nine when she died and I remember attending her funeral in OKCity in 1953.
