Just scanned back through on the history of changes to Hunnicutt-15
Therefore, it appears the "Edit" was actually the addition of a daughter named Margaret probably added to both he and his wife's profiles with one save since all three are at the same time.
Hope this helps.

I traced back your Hunnicutt lineage on Ancestry.com, based on what you told me your father's name was, and if I am not wrong, you are a part of the Northern SC Hunnicutts and a descendant of John Hunnicutt and Jemima Rowell through their son Randolph Hunnicutt and his son William Hunnicutt and his son James Madison Hunnicutt?
I believe one of the Bibles you are referring to is the family Bible of John and Jemima Hunnicutt. I have seen this Bible referred to several times, but do not know where it is. The editor who wrote articles for Jack Dawson Hunnicutt clearly had access to it somehow.
We have a very active Honeycutt Family Researchers Group on Facebook, and you would be very welcome to join if you want!

I would certainly be interested in any of those Hunnicutt bibles if you could find them. The Jack Dawson Hunnicutt I was speaking of lived from 1903-1974, so he has been dead for a long time. He was born in Mississippi, and he died in Florida.
The only major researcher I know with the Hunnicutt spelling is Laura Hunnicutt Gardner. I do not know her email right now but can get you in contact with her if you want. Her Ancestry profile is Mrstlg1973. Deanna-Barton Rensch is also Honeycutt, and I would consider her to be the most knowledgable Honeycutt/Hunnicutt researcher out there. She has done incredible work including recovering many files from microfilm and compile really great spreadsheets on the early NC and TN Honeycutts/Hunnicutts.

"This is a jumble of incoherent info. Is William Marriott supposed to be the same as William Merritt. Please tie the info together."
This in regards to this page: Marriott-417
The answer is Yes. Merritt researchers working on this time frame understand that Marriott, Merritt, and a half dozen other variations are all the same. My favorite example and proof is the will of this gal here, where in the same paragraph, her surname is spelled three different ways: Yes she is one of my Merritts too.
If you have specific questions about the jumble, please hit me up. Me: Merritt-1984

I've had some of your same frustrations. Now that I know that there could be multiple wives maybe I can track down some new sources too. Post info as you can and I'll do the same now that it's on my radar. One thing I'll do is try to see if the family records I have reflect any of this new information. Rick
