Biography
Frederick was born in Bethnal Green, Middlesex in 1854[1]. He joined the Royal Marines as a Private[2] and became a Corporal in the Royal Marines Light Infantry[3]. After he left the Marines, he joined the London and India Port Authority, later the London Port Authority, and was a Dock Constable[4] until his death in 1911.
Frederick's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1854 in the Bethnal Green district.[1]
He joined the Royal Marines and in the 1871 census Frederick (age 20) was a Private in the Royal Marine Barracks in Chatham, St Mary, Kent.[2]
By the time of the 1881 Census, Frederick was a Corporal in the Royal Marines Light Infantry and was stationed at the Royal Marine Barracks in Gillingham in Kent.[3]
He married [[Rowe-11324|Louisa Rowe] and their marriage was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1882 in the Kensington district.[5]
The couple had four children in Whitechapel and in 1911 the family lived at 16 J Peabody Buildings; the Whitechapel Estate was the first of ten estates built by Peabody as part of the slum clearance program.[4]

Frederick passed away later that year and his death was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1911 in the Whitechapel district. He was 57 years old.[7]
