In August 1698 there is a deed containing the name William Maltby of Philadelphia, Pa. About january 1699 his wife Mary followed her husband to America. They had married July 9, 1689. William was of Orston, Nottinghamshire and his wife, Mary Rhoades, was born in Chesterfield. They were Friends, English Quakers. Their eldest son John was born March 4, 1690 in the parish of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. They emigrated to Philadelphia. To be completed.

to William Maulsby (looks like Maltbie on the image) on 13 Jun 1689 at Chesterfield Meeting House, Derbyshire, England[1]. The discrepancy between the marriage dates could be that the marriage was registered elsewhere at a later date.
