Biography

Jerusha Eustice Robards was born about 1846 in Greene County, Missouri. Her parents were Augustus Marion Robards (abt.1822-1874) and Mary Evaline Freeman (1825-1873), both of North Carolina. His parents married on 7 Oct 1841 in Greenem, Missouri. ^[1]

• Marriage: The name that was recorded is Roberts not Robards, but i believe this is the same person. Also Mary's name is listed as Fruman, but looking at the document i believe it was recorded as Freeman.

• In June 1860, Jerusha was living with her parents and six siblings in Robberson Township, Greene County, Missouri. Her father was a farmer and had $3,000 in real estate and $2,500 in personal property. It was noted that Marshal, Jerusha, Lucinda, and Lemuel had attended school within the last year. ^[3]
• In August 1870, twenty-four-year-old Jerusha was residing with her parents and eight younger siblings in Robberson Township, Greene County, Missouri. Her father was working as a farmer, and owned $3,200 in real estate and $800 in personal property. It was noted that Jerusha and her sister Lucinda could not write. ^[4]
