Research Notes

  • Lewis Roberts' marriage bond name appears 3 times in the document, each time slightly different. It can be read as Lavin Robards[3] or Leuis Robards [4]or Lewis Robarts. However, his wife is definitely Fanny Roberts in her father's will. The marriage records show Bruce Boyd as bondsman - the bond certificate show the name as Lewis Roberts.[5]
