Lily was born Mary Lilian Robb on the 24th of December, 1903, in Ravensbourne, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, the 4th of 4 daughters of Jim and Mary (Guy) Robb.^[1][2]

At 1, in 1905, her sister Vashti Isabella Robb was born in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.^{[citation needed]}

At 4, on the 21st of March, 1907, her sister Vashti Isabella Robb died, in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, at 2.^[3]

At 19, on the 21st of March, 1921, her sister Elizabeth Annie Robb married William Price Campbell in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.^{[citation needed]}

She lived with Charlie at 28 Howe St, Dunedin, the former home of Charlie's parents, for the next ten years.^[6]

At 44, on the 13th of July 1948, her father James Robb died in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, at 76.

She and Charlie then moved from 28 Howe to 759 Great King Street, just around the corner, where they lived for the rest of their lives.

At 58, on the 13th of September, 1960, her husband Charles Henry Arnold Bissland died suddenly at their home, 759 King Street, Dunedin.^[7]

Now a widow, she continued at 759 King Street until her death,>^[8]

At 69, on the 25th of February, 1971. her sister Annie Elizabeth Price, )nee Robb) died, in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, at 73.

At 71, on the 27th of April, 1973, her sister Florence Jean Williams, (nee Robb) died, in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, at 74.

At 74, on the 2nd of September 1978, she died of a cerebral haemorrhage in the Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, Otago, and was buried in the Waitati Cemetery, Waitati, Otago, New Zealand.^[9]
