Biography

Oliver P. Robe had a land grant in Grant County, Oklahoma. His name is inscribed on the Homesteaders Memorial monument in front of the courthouse in Medford, Okla. He was among some 100,000 who lined up on Sept. 16, 1893 to race for a 160-acre claim.

Oliver was a teacher in Iowa before moving on to Oklahoma.

Son of Josiah Robe and Catherine Darnell.
