Walter and Martha lost their property in Nelson, Madison County, NY, on April 3, 1818.

A clue to Walter's whereabouts after 1817 may lie in the fact that five members of the Case family (Ambrose, Jonathan, George, Seth and Silas) purchased land from the Union Land Company in Liberty Township, Delaware County, Ohio. Other purchasers were William Robe (b abt 1778 in Simsbury, Hartford, CT) and Walter Robe. [5]
