Biography

Clifford Robenstine has German Roots.
Clifford Robenstine was an Ohioan.

Clifford, son of John "Aaron" Robenstine and Elta Mae Heimbaugh,[1] was born 13 January 1901 in Mogadore City, Summit County, Ohio.[1][2][3] In 1910 his father John Robenstine (age 30, stoneware potter) owned his home on Talbot Avenue in Akron, Summit County, which he shared with his wife Elta (30, mother of two, both living), Clifford (9) and Lola F. (2).[4]

The family moved to Springfield Township, Summit County, before 1920, when John (age 40, clay product worker), Elta (39), Clifford (18, stenographer in a rubber factory), Lola (11) and Paul Robenstine (6) were found together on Triplet Road.[5]

On 8 July 1922 in Summit, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, he married Irma Carrie Bader,[6] daughter of William Frederick Bader and Ida Elizabeth Briner.[6] They had at least two children:

  • Donald Robenstine (b. about 1930;[7] married;[8] d. before 2006.[9]

In 1940 Clifford (age 39, milk deliveryman) and Irma (38) owned their home on Triplet Boulevard in Akron, where they resided with their children Donald (10) and Arwilda (8).[7] Both Clifford and Irma were high school graduates.[7]

Later in life Clifford owned and operated a gas station in Akron.[12] He was a member of Star Masonic Lodge 187, Elks Lodge, and the Bethany United Church of Christ.[12]

Clifford died 19 October 1967 in Cuyahoga Falls, Summit County,[2][3] and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Summit County.[13]
