They say type 1 diabetes is inherited. I knew of only have two relatives who has/had it. My 1 cousin on my mum's side, and a great aunt on my fathers side who died from it just before insulin was invented in on 31 October 1920. I just found out as of now that this was her. She passed away from complications only 28 days before this discovery! :(
