Matilda Robare was born 29 May 1837 in New York, she was the daughter of Francois Robert and Catherine Vandandaigue Gadbois. She married Albion Butler 1865 and they were the parents of six children. She died 1 Nov., 1920 and is buried at Harmony, Marinette, WI.
