SARA R. SWINGLE age 61 of Lambs Creek Road, Mansfield, PA Wednesday, August 8, 1990 at home. She was born July 22, 1929 in Wilkes-Barre, PA daughter of Frederick D. and Harriette N. Gruttenden Roberts. Friends may call at the Scureman Funeral Home, Friday, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral there Saturday at 11 am with the Rev. Debra Casey officiating. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA. Survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert c. Swingle; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Vernie Swingle and their children, Jennifer and Jim; son, William, all of Mansfield, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and George Fritz of Stroudsburg, PA; daughter, Judy Swingle of White Plaines, NY; brother, William Roberts of Mansfield, PA. She was a dedicated home maker and active for a number of years in the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The family will provide flowers. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or the American Cancer Society in Wellsboro, PA. –Elmira Star-Gazette 8/10/1990 ^[2]
