Elizabeth Roberts, was born in 1844[1] at St Breward, Cornwall, the eldest daughter and second child of James Roberts and his wife, Margaret (nee Kellow). However she wasn't baptised at St Breward until 12 November 1852 at the same time as her elder brother Nicholas, and younger siblings Hannah, Jane, and James. Their father James is listed in the baptismal records of his children as a labourer.[2]
