Biography
Jackie was born in 1935 to CL and LaRhue Roberts, in Chattanooga, TN. They moved to Asheville, NC, in the late 1940s. She attended Furman University, then moved to Ormond Beach, FL, with her parents, and finished school at Stetson University in Deland, FL. In 1955 she married Fred Ruby, who she had met while living in Asheville, in Holly Hill, FL. They had two sons. Jackie was a teacher and school librarian, at Mainland High School, Hurst Elementary and Seabreeze Junior High.[1] She passed away in 1966.[2]
