The early years

Thursie Jennie Robert was born on the 10 May 1878 in Tennessee to [[Roberts-22805|James Roberts] and Malvina Warford

She was one of 12 siblings:

I also believe Joseph was in the home and the youngest and may account for the misnaming of Malvina

ANGEL OF DEATH GALLS DINUBA WOMAN TODAY

Mrs. Thurise Carriker, native of Tennessee and aged 42 years, passed away on Monday evening in one of the local hospitals after an illness of lengthy duration. The deceased was a resident of Dinuba and had been confined to the local institution only four days.

She is survived by three daughters, two residing in Visalia, one of whom is Mrs. S. M. Cravey, and another in Tulare, whose name was unavailable.

Funeral services will be conducted for the deceased at 1:30 oclock this afternoon in Hadley & Locey undertaking parlors, after which the body i will be taken to Reedley for interment. Rev. Connley, pastor of the Church of God, will conduct the services.
