Are in fact the children of MIlton's brother Matlock Jr. Almarinda Claimed them in the Civil War Pension file. We have also found other evidence they are Matlock Jr's.

In 1880[2] they are living in District 11, Smith, Tennessee and Milton is a farmer. In the home are Milton 52, Mary 54, William 20, Joseph 18, Sherman 16, John B 14, Mary J 10 as well as his grandmother Arana Gillihan 72.
