Biography

When John Engard Roberts was born on June 27, 1831, in Virginia, Illinois, his father, Cornelius, was 20 and his mother, Mary, was 19. He married Mary Jane Linville on August 6, 1856, in Pike, Illinois. They had at least one child during their marriage. He died on April 1, 1906, in Aumsville, Oregon, at the age of 74, and was buried there.
