Biography

Reuben Roberts Jr was born in 1802 in Anderson, Tennessee. He was the son of Reuben Roberts and Mary Millie Asher.

A farmer, Reuben Roberts Jr first married Sarah Pigg in 1822. They had the following children and perhaps 11 total -[1]

After the death of Sarah Pigg, Reuben second married Latitha Randolph on September 22, 1865. She was the daughter of John and Mary Randolph of Warren County Tennessee.

He died on May 11, 1883, in Warren, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 81 years. Reuben is buried at the Asbury Cemetery, Warren County, Tennessee, USA.

Reuben Roberts Jr was born in Anderson County, Tennessee in 1802. At nine years of age he moved to Warren County Tennessee. As he grew up into manhood he worked on the farm, and in the timber business with his father. In 1822, at the age of twenty, he married Sarah Pigg, daughter of Nathan Pigg.

Reuben Roberts Jr purchased considerable land along Collins River and Mud Creek in Warren County.

On October 4, 1841, when Reuben Roberts Sr's personal property was sold at auction, Reuben was present with his brothers and sisters. He purchased twenty dollars worth of items.
