Biography

Bertram Clerihew Roberts was born 4 Jul 1896 at Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas to Wesley Roberts and Mary Lowe.

Millard Urban, Bertram Clerihew, and Morrison Benjamin Roberts sailed to New York City in September 1910 aboard the SS Vigilancia.

Bertram Roberts married Lenore Holder in Manhattan 16 April 1923. The couple had two daughters, Doris and Jean Roberts. (Bertram and Lenore Roberts divorced in Pinellas County, Florida in 1946.)

By 1925, the Roberts family was living in Buffalo, New York. Bertram was a salesman selling electrical lamps. Five years later, he was manager of the Westinghouse Lamp Company. The Roberts moved to Morristown, New Jersey in the 1930s and remained there during the second World War.

Bertram Clerihew Roberts died in Manhattan, New York City, New York 27 March 1964 at 67 years of age.
