Biography

Sardina was born about 1832. She is the daughter of John Roberts. [1]


During the 1850 US Census:

John C Roberts, age 42, was living in Lawrence, Kentucky with his wife Hester Roberts, age 40, and their children:

  • Larilda (Sarilda) Roberts, daughter, age 18
  • George H Roberts, son, age 16
  • Joseph F Roberts, son, age 14
  • Pamelia J Roberts, daughter, age 12
  • Strother Roberts, son, age 10
  • Reuben Roberts, son, age 8
  • Allen F Roberts, son, age 4
  • John W Roberts, son, age 1

Dwelling #421 Family #423, race: white. John and Hester were born in Virginia and their children in Kentucky. John's occupation is farmer and his real estate owned was valued at $100. John is a person over age 20 that can read and write and Esther cannot. Sarilda, George, Joseph, Strother and Reuben attended school during the year.[2]

Roberts-32956 and Roberts-6822 appear to represent the same person because: This is my second merge for Sardila/Sardina today. I believe this is the same person.

Could you please correct her first name? Her name is not Sardina, it is Surilda (see 1860 Census) or Serilda (see 1870 Census). I've seen it commonly spelled Surilda. Thank you.
