Biography
When J. James Roberts was born on June 21, 1845, in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, his father, John, was 42 and his mother, Roseanna, was 35. He married Mary Elizabeth Hillemeyer on October 11, 1893, in his hometown. They had three children during their marriage. He died on January 3, 1904, in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, at the age of 58, and was buried there.
