1881 Canada Census: John Roberts 32, was born in 1849 in New Brunswick, Canada. In 1881 he lived in Weldford, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. John was a farmer. Household members were: John 32, Eliza 33, Emily 13, William 11, Abigail 9, H. James 7, Benjamin 5, E.An 4 (Elizabeth Ann), and Luce 1.[2].

1891 Canada Census: John Roberts, 42, was born in 1848 in New Brunswick. In 1891 he lived in Weldford, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. He worked as a farmer. His father was born in Quebec and his mother in New Brunswick. Household members were: John 43, Eliza 42, William 21, James 18, Benjamin 16, Esther 13, Lucy 12, Catherine 9, Sarah 7, Pansey 5, Andrew 5, and Bessie 3.[3]

1901 Canada Census: John Roberts, 55, was born 30 Nov 1846 in New Brunswick. In 1901 he was a farmer living in Weldford, Kent, New Brunswick. Household members were: John 55, Eliza 54, Sarah 17, Pansey 15, Andrew 15, Bessie 13, Ada 8, Ezella 8, Ellen 7, Reuben 4, Howard 4, and Frederick 2.[4]

1911 U.S.Census: 1911 Canada Census: John Roberts, 65, was born in New Brunswick. In 1911 he was living in Kent, New Brunswick, Canada with his son James and his family. Household members were: James 37, Rachel S., Greta 10, Gurtha 7, Bessie 3, Paul 1, John M. 65, Eliza 62, and Callalo (James' sister} 18.[5]

Burial: John William Roberts, 74, was born 29 Nov 1846 in Bass River, Kent, New Brunswick and died 11 Mar 1920 in Kent County.. He was buried in Saint Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Browns Yard, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. He married Eliza Gillis in Saint Paul's Church in Browns Yard on 16 Jun 1871.[6]

Browns Yard is a community in the Local Service District of Weldford Parish, New Brunswick located 4.5 km NE of Fords Mills close to the intersection of Route 490 and Route 510. The church is St. Paul's Anglican and it features an old cemetery where some of the earliest settlers to Weldford were buried and the church continues to be the center of family life with activities for children, youth and many family events hosted at their church hall.[7]

"...John William Roberts who married Eliza Gillis. He was baptised the son of Peter and Abigail Rubear Oct 10th, 1847 at Brown's Yard. He was born Dec 29, 1846 at Main River, NB and died March 11th, 1920, burial at Brown's Yard."

John was born in 1846. He passed away in 1920.
