Edwin (age 25) married Ann Telford Tordoff on 24 December 1862 at St Peter's church, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.^[2] They had nine children, three in Hunslet and six in Leeds. In 1881, he lived in Holbeck at 12 Highfield Street with all nine children and his wife. He worked as a cabinetmaker.^[3]

He and his family emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1886. He's listed on the ship passenger list with Zoe, Amy, Edwin, and Ada.^[4] Edwin died (age 54) from pneumonia on April 19, 1891 in Toronto.^[5]
