Biography

Thomas Augustus Roberts was born 22 September 1850 at Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas to John Roberts Jr. and Elizabeth Augusta Curry Roberts.

He married twice: first, to Jane Elizabeth Roberts, daughter of Richard Roberts and Emily Matilda Griffin Roberts, 30 March 1870. (Roberts married his first cousin - their fathers, John and Richard Roberts, were brothers.) And second, to Isolena "Lena" Saunders, daughter of Benjamin Atwood Saunders and Elizabeth Ann Turtle Lowe Roberts, 2 January 1907, at Green Turtle Cay.

Thomas Augustus and Jane Elizabeth Roberts had a son, James Ralph Roberts, born in 1878, and an unnamed daughter.

Thomas Augustus Roberts died 28 May 1914 at Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas at 63 years of age.
