Biography

John was born in 1838. He was the son of John Robeson and Eliza MNUnknown. He moved to Arkansas after marrying Lenora Wilhite. The story goes that John was killed by bushwhackers and/or the Indians at Ballard Creek, Washington County, on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. Local women retrieved his body in the dark of night and buried it in a hand-dug, unmarked grave.He passed away in 1863.
