Biography

John Robertson was born about 1821, the son of Patrick Robertson and Helen Hendry. At age 41, James, a Master Wright, married 25 year old Jane Paterson in Kintore on 23 May 1862. Witnesses were Al. Irvine and William Catto. In the 1871 census, John, a 49 year old House Carpenter employing 1 man and 1 boy, and Jane, age 34, are living at the Square in Kintore. Also there is William Harvey, a boarder. In the 1881 census, John, a Baillie Carpenter, and Jane are at the Aberdeen Road Town House in Kintore. John died 27 Jun 1892 and his death information is inscribed on a gravestone in the Kirkyard of Kintore.
