She was the daughter of Freeman Robertson and Lillie Hattox and step-daughter of Horace Greely Bellamy. She sometimes used her stepfather's last name Bellmay. She married Frank Manigold on Jan 28, 1938 in La Cruses, Doria Ana, New Mexico. She and Frank bought property in Hamilton, TX, where they lived for many years.
