Personal recollection of events witnessed by Audra Smithey as remembered 4 Dec 2018.
My Daddy said that his sister, Margie, was named after her grandmother, but their names were supposed to be "Margarette". I have not found any evidence of the spelling of their names to be Margarette yet.
Revision: according to Robert Lee Smithey's Texas death certificate (Robert Lee was 21 years old and was killed in an automobile accident), her name is indeed Margarette Robertson. The person that gave the information on Robert Lee's Death certificate was William Paul Smithey, Robert Lee's father and Margarette's husband.
