George was born on the 8 March 1843 in the Village of Falkland, at the foot of the Lomond Hills, Parish of Falkland, in Fife Scotland. His baptism takes place on the 14 May 1843 at the Parish Church, High Street, in the Village of Falkland, in the Parish of Falkland, Fife, Scotland[1].

We find George in the Census Record of 1851 living with his parents John (Robertson) and Margaret (Johnston), along with siblings James, Euphemia and Peter (Robertson) and his uncle, David (Robertson). They reside at Parliament Close, in the Village of Falkland, in Fife, Scotland[3]. By 1861, he is out of the family home and is visiting with John (Miller); his wife Ann (Miller) and their children John, Elisabeth, Robert and Margaret (Miller). They are living in the Village of Markinch, Parish of Markinch, in the heart of Fife, Scotland[4].
The Census Record of 1871 reveals the fact that George (Robertson) has married Margaret (Kilgour) and they are living with their children John, James and George (Robertson) at Cross Wynd, in the Village of Falkland, Fife, Scotland[5]. In 1881, the family are still in the Village of Falkland but now they live at Balmblae Street. George and Margaret live there with children John James, George, Mary Anne, David and Susan (Robertson)[6].
By the arrival of the Census Record of 1891, the family are living at Castle Street, in the Village of Falkland, Parish of Falkland, in Fife, Scotland. Their children James, George, Mary Anne, David, Susan, Peter, Thomas and Margaret "Maggie" Johnstone (Robertson) live with them[7]. It seems the family has settled in the Village of Falkland with the Census of 1901. Now, George and Margaret reside at West Port with their children George, Mary Anne, Peter, Thomas and Margaret "Maggie" Johnstone (Robertson)and visitor, James (Kilgour)[8]. Most of the children have moved out of the family home with the Census Record of 1911 and only Mary Anne and Peter (Robertson) live with George and Margaret, who are still at West Port, in the Village of Falkland, Fife, Scotland[9].
The Census Record of 1861 has George employed as a Blacksmith, however, by 1871, he describes his occupation as a Forest Labourer. His death Certificate lists him as an Estate Labourer.
It is very clear when, and where, George (Robertson) passed away. West Port, Falkland, Fife, Scotland, United Kingdom on 30 Dec 1917. 1918 ROBERTSON, GEORE (Statutory registers Deaths 428/ 1). As you can see Scotland's People inputter misspelt Christian name.
