William Robertson, IV. of Kindeace, a cavalry officer, who was, during his father's lifetime, called " Cornet William Robertson of Urchany*." He married twice—firstly, Catherine, daughter of Robert Robertson of Shipland (a descendant of James, fourth son of John Robertson, Provost of Inverness), by whom he had issue. His second wife was his cousin german, Ann, sister of Mrs Peter Bethune of Culniskea, and daughter of Sir John Munro, 4th Bart, of Fowlis, "The Presbyterian Mortarpiece." William Robertson had issue (only by his wife Catherine) several daughters and [3] sons[2]
