[2] wiht his wife Mary (42), Children Hugh (20), Peter (18), Mary (15), janet (14), Fanny (12), William (10), Ninian (8), John(5) and Isabella (3).
In the 1881 census Duncan (age 68), Cultivateur, was living in the houshold of his son John (24) in New Richmond, Bonaventure, Quebec,[3] with his wife Mary (63) and daughter Sarah (18).
Duncan died on 18 Mar 1897 in Cascapedia aged 84.
