Mary was widowed young in 1850, and she and her son Ebenezer were living with her parents in Nepean at the time of the 1851 census.
She remarried in or around 1859 or 1861, and may be the Mary listed as William Pollock's wife in the 1861 census. John R. Pollock (b. abt. 1860) is most likely her son, rather than William's first wife Marjory's. She and William later moved to the Quebec side of the Ottawa River (St. Andrews, Argenteuil), sometime before the 1881 census.
Mary Robertson was born in December 1829 in Ontario, Canada, daughter of John Robertson and Jean Robinson.
