Richard was the son of Robert Robey and Elizabeth Johanna Passmore. He was born in 1875 in the district of Shoreditch, Middlesex, England.[1][2]
Richard emigrated with his mother aboard the Swanton from London, which arrived in Melbourne, Victoria on 23rd June 1884.[3]
In 1895 Richard married Frances Mabel Hobson in Victoria, Australia.[4]
Richard died in the Melbourne Hospital on 27th March 1899, after a short and painful illness.[5][6][7][8]
Research Notes
Newspaper death notice indicates Richard's father lived in North Melbourne. He likely arrived on a different ship as only Richard and his mother were on the Swanton passenger list.
