Biography

Joseph Frédérick was born in October 1913 in Waltham Mass. ^[1]and baptised on the 18th. ^[2]. In 1920 he was living with his parents and 4 siblings in Waltham. ^[3] He married Albertine in Shédiac, New Brunswick in 1937. ^[4]. Afterwards they lived in Memramcook where their 3 children were born. ^[5] In 1948, the family moved to Hayward, California and lived there for 4 years. ^[5]. They later moved to Salem Massachusetts where they stayed for 2 years. The family returned to Memramcook in 1954 where Frédérick operated the school bus system until 1972. He had to sell his business to the provincial government after suffering from health (heart) problems in 1970. Frédérick passed away in 2010. ^[6][7]

Dumont Hospital on September 5, 2010 at the age of 96. Born on October 12, 1913 in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late Edouard Robichaud and the late Delina Gaudet. He took ownership of Memramcook Transport Ltd (buses and school buses) from 1953 to 1975 from his father Edouard. In 1954, he was the first Fire Chief for the Memramcook Fire Department and was a founding member of the Memramcook Golden Age Club, and was president from 1976 to 1980. ^[8]
