Isaac served and fought in the Siege of Bexar, occurring from October to Dec 14, 1835.[6][7][8] Many men joined the military in New Orleans including Isaac Robinson. They arrived in Washington-on-Brazos, Texas.[4] Isaac was a 4th Sergeant, which indicates prior military service.
Four of the Alamo defenders - Charles Despallier, Christopher Parker, Isaac Robinson and David Wilson - signed the Goliad Declaration of Independence on December 20, 1835. This had 91 signatures and alienated the Federalists of northern Mexico.
In 1836 Isaac Robinson stayed on to serve as a 4th Sergeant under the artillery company commanded by Capt. William R. Carey at the Alamo garrison.[4]
The Mexican army arrived, beginning the 13-day siege February 22, 1836. Isaac was killed in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836. [2] A memorial is in San Fernando Cathedral.[9]
Note: Heirs were awarded land bounty of 1 labor land, and 320 Acres in Bee county.
