Alex (Bill) Robinson Passes in California

Alex (Bill) Robinson, 67, died at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr & Mrs. Billy Ray Robinson, in La Habra, Calif., Wednesday, April 8/ Burial was in La Habra Friday afternoon, April 10.

Mr. Robinson, born on a farm near Waelder, Texas, Feb. 14, 1897, the son of the late Jack and Ola Fowler Robinson, had lived most of his life at Waelder and Flatonia.

He had been in poor health for several years. In October of 1963 he suffered a stroke which took his speech. Even though he couldn't talk, he was jolly, kind and loving and will be missed by those who knew him.

He was a member of the Baptist Church at Waelder, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Those left to mourn his passing are: Two sons, Billy Ray Robinson of La Habra, Calif., David Crockett Robinson of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Sussie Ola) Calberg of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren; one brother, Sid Robinson, of Lufkin; four sisters, Mrs. A.M. Smith of Luling, Mrs. Philip Keil, Mrs. Benson Parker of San Antonio, Mrs. Herbert Agricola of Flatonia, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His parents, a brother, Boe Robinson, a sister, Mrs. Selma Harrison, preceded him in death.
