Margaret Robinson, daughter of George Robinson and Elizabeth Guild, was born 9 June 1690 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts.[1]
Margaret married Benjamin Day, in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, possibly on 16 December 1714.[2]
Margaret is often confused with her sister Mary as the wife of Benjamin Day. The confusion seems to arise because of differences in two different transcriptions of the original Town Records, probably difficult to read at the time of transcription(s). The transcriptions available in Attleboro, probably the earlier transcription, lists Margaret as the wife of Benjamin Day and the mother of his children.[3] The transcriptions published in 1934 lists Mary as the wife of Benjamin Day and the mother of his children.[4]
While the transcription of Attleboro Vital Records published in 1934 show Mary Robinson as the wife of Benjamin Day, the listing is not supported by a cross-reference listing of Benjamin Day as the husband of Mary Robinson. Rather, Mary Robinson is listed as marrying Elihu Warfield on 16 December 1714. That listing is supported by the cross-referenced listing for Elihu Warfield, said to have married Mary Robinson on 16 December 1714.[5]
Similarly, The handwritten transcription of Attleboro's Vital records from the Town Office show Elihu Warfield as marrying Mary Robinson on 16 December 1714.[6]
Elihu Warfield and his wife Mary moved to Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts, where their daughters Mary and Elizabeth were born, and where Mary died in 1717.[7]
Margaret Day is named as a daughter of her father George Robinson in his will, dated 17 September 1724, indicating that Margaret is still living and the daughter who married Benjamin Day. Mary Warfield is not named in the will, having pre-deceased her father. However, her husband, Elihu Warfield is named as George Robinson's son-in-law, with his daughters Elizabeth and Mary.[8]
The children of Benjamin and Margaret Day, all born in Attleboro, were:
Hannah Day, 3 February 1715

Margaret Day is said to have died and been buried in Killingly, Wyndham, Connecticut.[10]
