Biography

Jane Robinson, born in Beverly, Ontario, about 1825, married George Shipman (born in the United States, probably about 1820, but could be sooner). She was listed as widowed in the 1861 and 1871 censuses. Jane passed away 20 November 1871 in Brantford, Ontario. (Son John, informant of her death, was a farmer in Brantford at that time.)

Research Notes

George Shipman, born 1811, died 1909, was shipped to Stratford after having been reburied, where one of Jane's children lived. Possibly this is the right one. However, Jane was widowed, so unless she said that being divorced, this is NOT the right one.^[1]
