Eleanor Elizabeth Robinson was born 4 Oct 1852,[1] in Meredith, New Hampshire,[2] [3] 3rd child of Joseph Robinson and Drusilla Collins. She was born in New Hampshire during the short period of time after Joseph and Drusilla moved from Maryland to Meredith, and before moving on to Lisbon, New York, where Joseph’s parents resided. After her father died in 1888 Ellen and her sister Lena were given support out of the estate to live in the house until her mother's death.[4]. Lena married 10 years later, but Ellen lived on with her mother until Drusilla's death in 1907. The house and property were divided among the children and Ellen took up residence with her sister, Mrs. Lena Howland and family, in Ogdensburg, New York, remaining in that household until her own death in 1930. She was active in her church and with the WCTU.
